Cloud PBX Migration Case Study for a Durban Business

ITC Systems migrated a Durban distribution and services business from legacy telephony to a managed cloud PBX. The hosted phone system combined existing business numbers, extension management, call routing and mobile applications. The project gave office and mobile employees a centrally managed business VoIP platform with greater flexibility for remote calling.

The Challenge

The legacy telephone system was difficult to administer and offered limited support for employees away from the office. Telecommunications spending was also difficult to predict.

The ITC Systems Solution

ITC Systems configured a cloud-hosted PBX, retained existing telephone numbers through number porting, and set up extensions, an interactive voice response menu and call routing. Mobile applications enabled employees to use business calling features away from their desks.

Project Outcome

The business gained a central platform for managing extensions and routing incoming calls. Mobile calling reduced dependence on desk phones, and the hosted model made future extension changes easier to manage.
